Just beacuse it's listed as a car base doesn't mean that it cannot be used in a tractor or an aircraft but in general car mounts are designed for fewer bumps and jolts that a truck mount would be. Car mounts tend to be "B series" - Truck bases are usually "C Series" or larger.
Motorcycle mounts often assume use of the handlebars - but these can be used in any application where a round bar is available.
