This consists of a 63.5mm / 2.5" diameter round base that contains the universal AMPs hole pattern, SHORT double socket arm and 158.75 x 50.8mm (6.25" x 2") rectangle base. The rectangle base contains different combinations of pre-drilled holes which will match up to many electronic devices and mounts, including Marine GPS, CB Radios, Ham Radios, Gimbal Brackets etc.

Q: Does this SKU include the hardware needed to bolt it to a flat surface?

A: No, the hardware required to install this mount is not included. Because these are mounted to such a wide variety of materials and applications we do not know what hardware to provide. The best resource for that type of information is usually a local hardware store or the manufacturer of the vehicle you are mounting to.

Q: What screws are used to attach the RAM Mount to the gimbal bracket?

A: Typically the gimbal bracket included with your fishfinder will also come with mounting screws that should connect to the RAM® mounting plate. As these mounts are universal and are for many different applications, the necessary hardware needed for each application will vary. For marine applications, RAM® recommends stainless steel hardware to prevent corrosion.

Q: What size screws are needed for the holes on this ball plate?

A: The most common screw sizes are #8, #10, M4 and M5 screws. However, if you are pairing this with any RAM® Holder, the holder will come with the necessary hardware to connect to your mount.
